About this title
Days of golden dunes give way to nights beneath a sky full of stars, with isolation tightening its hold all the while. There is nobody else for conversation, no distraction from their thoughts and no simple route home. A forbidden tension settles into the quiet, leaving Lucas to resist impulses he would prefer not to acknowledge. Eliza's looks make her own position increasingly difficult to mistake. Far from ordinary life, the moral boundaries they brought with them seem less substantial each evening. The question is no longer whether the atmosphere has changed, but whether either of them remains willing to defend the line that still separates intention from action.
