About this title
His aim is simple: create one perfect evening, stop being merely Chloe’s friend and become something more. Then his best friend arrives without warning, carrying illegal fireworks and accompanied by a carload of women nobody invited. He is convinced that making Chloe jealous offers the surest route to her heart. From that point, the night follows its own logic. Every detail Zack rehearsed happens on cue, but never quite as intended. It remains unclear who will be standing when the final rocket burns out, or whether his carefully arranged evening can be rescued.
