The Unwanted Roommate
When his closest friend asks him to let his younger sister stay for a while, he agrees without hesitation. It seems like the kind of straightforward favor friends do for each other. That confidence fades as soon as she settles into the apartment.

About this title
The rooms are the same size, yet the apartment feels tighter with both of them living there. Then she suggests a highly personal way to pay her share of the rent, one that has nothing to do with money. He wishes she had never raised the idea, but he cannot put it out of his mind. Every night becomes another test between loyalty to the friend who trusted him and the temptation waiting on the other side of a wall. He understands what that trust requires, even as his resolve grows less dependable. Nothing has happened, and neither roommate pretends otherwise. Still, both know how close they have already come to changing the arrangement into something neither can easily take back.
