The Unwanted Roommate
When his closest friend asks him to give the man's younger sister somewhere to stay, he agrees without hesitation. It sounds like a straightforward favour between trusted friends. Her arrival makes it anything but straightforward.

About this title
The flat is no smaller than before, yet sharing it makes every room feel close. His new housemate has a distinctly personal proposal for paying her rent, one that involves no money and leaves him wishing she had never raised the subject. He refuses to act on it, but cannot put it out of his mind. Loyalty to the friend who placed such trust in him pulls one way, while temptation waits just beyond the adjoining wall. Each evening becomes another quiet test, and he increasingly doubts his ability to pass it. Nothing has happened, though both of them are keenly aware of how little distance now remains between restraint and a decision neither could easily undo.
