About this title
The file never mentioned that the intimidating crime boss is a woman—or that she will spot his surveillance in about four minutes and find the attempt amusing. Instead of disappearing, she begins to toy with her new shadow and clearly enjoys watching him struggle. Between his entertained partner, increasingly impatient superiors, and a crime boss who treats the entire operation like a game, the rookie's mission stops being about observation. He is no longer sure who has control of the assignment or what she intends to do with him. The central question is not who he is watching anymore. It is who will end up in handcuffs.
