About this title
The change is presented as a practical solution: Jason’s mother-in-law comes to live beneath the same roof. ComicRush describes her as the most striking woman he has ever seen, and the house immediately gains a different centre of gravity. Loyalty, daily routine and something Jason refuses to name begin pulling in separate directions, even as everyone maintains the usual courtesies. Karen, meanwhile, may be about to learn how tangled the new living arrangement has become. Some changes can reorder an entire household before anybody says a word aloud.
