About this title
On paper, the arrangement is ordinary: two brothers, one flat and one marriage. Their history makes it anything but simple. Everyday favours, guarded secrets and glances held a moment too long begin to draw him into the machinery of the couple's life. Week by week, the boundary between an in-law and something far less innocent becomes harder to maintain, while she makes no obvious effort to restore the proper distance. Feelings left unresolved have a way of returning, and this household offers nowhere for them to hide.
