About this title
The plan is uncomplicated: follow the trail, handle the mud and tight turns, and return before the day is over. Roxy's confidence and constant teasing soon shift the mood, however, and the ride becomes about much more than the route through the trees. A casual outing turns into a slow, charged test in which neither of them is sure where the boundaries stand. The farther they travel from the rest of the family, the harder it becomes to treat the tension as a joke. Ethan expected an outdoor excursion. Instead, he finds himself wondering where Roxy intends to lead him before they turn back.
