About this title
What starts as an embarrassing maintenance problem soon occupies his thoughts completely. He could report it to the landlord and risk losing the apartment, cover it with a poster and pretend he never noticed, or leave the unexpected view alone. His quiet routine unravels one evening at a time as curiosity gradually replaces common sense. Each night adds to what he believes he knows about the people next door. Before long, the real question is not whether he will deal with the hole, but how much longer he can keep pretending it is not there.
