Jay and Alex are step-siblings who share almost nothing. He organises everything in advance; she makes it up as she goes, and studying is not part of her plans. Then spring break lands them both in Mexico — the same beach, the same hotel room, and the same circle of new friends with very few inhibitions indeed. Parties run late, drinking games go further than anyone intended, and the sparks nobody wanted to notice start to show. Between the tequila and the first light of morning, the trip stirs up wants neither of them had ever admitted to.
